2011 LuchaWorld 100 Countdown: #88. Bestia 666

88. Bestia 666 – (NR) – (5’9″, 187 lbs, 2 yr. pro): Another second-generation wrestler who made his mark in 2011 not only in Mexico, but in the US. Part of Los Perros del Mal promotion and faction throughout 2011. As part of the open-door talent exchange amongst a number of promoters in Mexico, Bestia 666 was very active competing not only for Perros Del Mal, but in AAA, IWRG, IWL and other indy groups. In the US, he wrestled for the Urban Wrestling Federation. He also made an appearance on the Smackdown tapings held in Mexico. Being bilingual puts him high on the list of guys who might get a chance with WWE. Due to being part of the Perros Del Mal faction, he too joined in on the feud with Los Psycho Circus, usually in matches against the clowns on indy shows. He and X-Fly held the IWL International Tag Team Titles going back to late 2010 and while they did defend the tag team titles during the first half of the year, they were stripped of the titles on October 5th, 2011, when they refused to defend them. At the Perros Del Mal show at the Lucha Libre Expo on July 24th, Bestia 666 became the first Perros del Mal Light Heavyweight Champion after he won a 6-way match. He held the belt for a few months, until losing it to Super Nova on Nov. 13th in another 6-way match. This loss would lead to a feud with Super Nova and Bestia 666 would gain revenge in a super libre match in December. In IWRG, Bestia 666 teamed with his father, Damian 666, and X-Fly to win the IWRG IC Trios Titles from The Psycho Circus in a 4-way match. (Note to Champions: DO NOT DEFEND TITLES IN MULTI-PERSON MATCHES!) They would eventually lose those trios titles to the Junior Dinamitas on December 1st.
