5. Dr. Wagner Jr./Alex Koslov/Volador Jr beat Mr. Aguila/Damian 666/Scorpio Jr. EMLL 7/20 – Arena Coliseo
1. Sensei & Sombra de Plata beat Artillero & Super Colt
2. Metalico/Neutron/Tigre Blanco defeated Arkangel de la Muerte/Loco Max/Nitro
3. Bam Bam (subbing for Tzuki)/Mascarita Dorada/Pequeno Olimpico beat Pequeno Damian 666/Pequeno Halloween/Pierrothito – Bam Bam challenged Damiancito after the match for a shot at the CMLL Minis Title next week and got it.

It looks like Abismo Negro will be making his return to AAA tomorrow as one of the surprise luchadores at the TV taping at Arena Solidaridad. Abismo is expected to join Los Hell Brothers either to replace Chessman or to help Ciber & Chessman mend their fences. RESULTS Baja Stars 7/18 – Auditorio Municipal de Tijuana
1. Arlequin beat Sparks
2. Extreme Kid & Super Galgo defeated Halcon Tapatio & Sangre Guerrera
3. El Celestial/Spyder Black/Star Boy beat La Ola del Terror (Scream/Tazmania/Viernes 13)
4. Angel Blanco Jr. & Mortiz defeated La Sombra & Valiente
5. Mistico & Negro Casas beat Los Sicarios del Infierno (Averno & Mephisto) by DQ when Negro turned on Mistico and the heels beat him bloody and ripped his mask off. Mistico then challenged Negro after the match for a mascara contra caballera match on 8/2 but Negro only accepted a regular match. EMLL 7/18 – Arena Mexico
1. Molotov & Starman and Caligula & Messala ended in DQ
2. Pequeno Black Warrior/Pequeno Violencia/Pierrothito defeated Mascarita Dorada/Shockercito/Ultimo Dragoncito (replacing Tzuki, who was apparently injured in his previous match in Ciudad Madero)
3. Torneo Gran Alternativa – Quarterfinals: Ultimo Guerrero & Dragon Rojo Jr. (Diamante Negro’s new gimmick) beat Shocker & Angel Azteca Jr.
4. Torneo Gran Alternativa – Quarterfinals: Blue Panther & Axel defeated Villano V & Puma King
5. Torneo Gran Alternativa – Quarterfinals: Mr. Niebla & El Bronco beat Hector Garza & Astro Boy
6. Torneo Gran Alternativa – Quarterfinals: Dos Caras Jr. & Metalik defeated Atlantis & Escandalo
7. Torneo Gran Alternativa – Semifinals: Ultimo Guerrero & Dragon Rojo Jr. beat Blue Panther & Axel
8. Torneo Gran Alternativa – Semifinals: Dos Caras Jr. & Metalik defeated Mr. Niebla & El Bronco

10. Leyenda de Plata Tournament – Semifinals: Perro Aguayo Jr. defeated Dr. Wagner Jr. – This had a lot of screwiness as Aguila, Damian, & Texano distracted the referee and members of the commission while Terrible under a Doc mask tried to foule Doc but Doc stopped him and ripped the mask off. Perrito took advantage of this and fouled Doc for the win and the fans showed their appreciation by pelting the ring with garbage. Perrito offered Doc a shirt to join Los Perros after the match which Doc said that he would join if he lost but Doc said that since they cheated he refused their offer.  |

Axel stated today that he wants his career to rival the one of his grandfather El Santo and that he knows that it might virtually impossible but he is going to give it everything he has to try to achieve that high level of excellence. Axel said that there will never be another El Santo but he wants to write his own history doing it his way and that he knows that it will take a lot of work in the gym to improve his performance. Axel said that he hasn’t earned any special treatment due to being Santo’s grandson and that he has earned his standing with hard work and great effort. Axel said that he knows the fans are going to compare him to his grandfather but he would hope that they would judge him on his own merits. Axel then closed by thanking EMLL President Paco Alonso for giving him the opportunity to work in the Torneo Gran Alternativa tomorrow night at Arena Mexico and he would come out the victor.
Blue Panther told Reforma yesterday that he hopes to meet Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero, & Villano V in the Gran Alternativa tomorrow night at Arena Mexico because he wants to force them into putting up their masks on the 75th anniversary spectaculars in September.
