ZACARIAS EL PERICO – To say Zacarias journey into the wrestling world was a difficult one would be an UTTER LIE, this parrot flew in last summer when CMLL was about to re-introduce the returning Rey Bucanero. Rey Bucanero decided to go Pirates of the Caribbean-level Pirate looking and needed something to put him over the top. Enter Zacarias el Perico! To say he was an instant fan favorite would be an understatement. During that summer, thecubsfan created a chart showing attendance figures for about 7-8 months worth of Arena Mexico shows. The peak periods were Mistico’s heel run and what else, you guessed it, Zacarias El Perico’s debut! Along with Rey Bucanero, Zacarias joined La Peste Negra and stopped bathing and grew a mini fro. He also found friendship with the other members of La Peste Negra as Rey Bucanero was always very abusive by tricking him into dancing, calling him over to him and then kicking him on the tush. He was voted runner-up for CMLL Dancer of the Year for 2010 to New Japan’s Jushin “Thunder” Liger at the annual awards banquet that took place at the apartment won by Bernardo Guzman of Tercera Caida! He also is the first mascot to cut promos during matches and even challenged Mistico to a mask vs. feathers match, which resulted in Mistico chickening out and signing with WWE. Recently Rey Bucanero left La Peste Negra and joined El Terrible and Texano Jr. to form Fuerza TRT. Zacarias El Perico thought he was joining the team, but was beaten by these three bullies. He has stuck around with La Peste Negra and has had a few showdowns with Jon “STRONG MAN” Andersen. His blood feud with KeMonito continues as well. No telling were this could lead…probably the octagon! As part of La Peste Negra, he now also wears gear similar to the rest of the members. He’ll dress like a wrestler with trunks and only with his parrot head when accompanying Negro Casas. Part of this is also due to Zacarias competing in the annual CMLL bodybuilding competition in the minis division. He’ll usually wear the traditional look when accompanying Felino. When accompanying Mr. Niebla, he’ll either dress like Mr. Niebla or the two will dress in outfits inspired by The Incredible Hulk or The Thing from the Fantastic Four.

Zatura – Debuted in IWRG under that gimmick in March 2008. He was immediately placed in the mid-card level, so he was someone that IWRG thought highly of. His outfit was similar to a previous IWRG wrestler known as Zonick 2000. Had a big 2009 for IWRG. Teamed with Los Traumas to challenge Los Oficiales for the IWRG IC Trios Titles a few times. His rivalry with Los Oficiales actually went on throughout 2009 as he also teamed with other tecnicos in other matches against that trio. He also won the IWRG IC Lightweight Title on March 15, 2009 against Bushi. Trauma II later challenged Zatura for the title and the two had a Match of the Year candidate on June 18, 2009 were Zatura lost the title to Trauma II. He was also involved in several of the stipulation cage matches that IWRG held throughout 2009 were he successfully retained his mask. Disappeared in April 2010. He more than likely has been re-gimmicked.

Zumbi – Brazilian wrestler who made his way to Mexico in late 2009. He combines traditional brazilian jiu-jitsu and vale tudo with lucha libre. He has a bit of following in Mexico as there have been fans who’ll don similar Brazilian colors when attending shows he’s on. Has one of the cooler entrances in Mexico which features a dance routine. Primarily has worked in independent promotions like Los Perros Del Mal, DTU, IWL and IWRG. He first appeared on DTU shows were he feuded with Joe Lider over the DTU Hardcore title. Competed frequently in the Perros Del Mal promotion since going to Mexico. When Damian 666 and Bestia 666 left Perros del Mal, Zumbi was part of the group of wrestlers that left the promotion (along with X-Fly and Super Nova) and the group re-formed on the independent circuit as La Familia de Tijuana.
