K

KEMONITO – The Godfather of mascots in lucha libre. He’s been around a long-time. Started off as the mascot to Tinieblas known as El Alushe. He’d make appearances not only on lucha libre shows, but on TV, movies and Spanish variety shows with Tinieblas. He gained a reputation for being a terrific bump-taker and usually did the majority of the work for Tinieblas as he got older. With his popularity soaring he also became quite the chick magnet and became “THE GUY” everyone wanted to hang out with at parties. He briefly worked as a heel when Pierroth made him an offer of candy, money and women if he joined Los Boricuas and he accepted. He quickly returned to the tecnicos side, but that time spent with Pierroth put a strain in the friendship between Tinieblas and Alushe. You see, Tinieblas candy was pretty stale and he felt it was time to move on. In 2005, he and Tinieblas parted ways and he took on the role of KeMonito the blue monkey for CMLL. He became a hit with the fans. He soon began feuding with all the top rudos like the Guerreros del Atlantida. Despite being tiny and looking really immobile, he’s still capable of taking some sick bumps as rudos are prone to throwing, drop-kicking or giant-swinging him around.
