This Saturday there will be a special event called “This is Lucha Libre presenta: La tercera es la vencida” were they will showcase artwork and literature that was influenced by lucha libre. For more info visit This Is Lucha Libre’s facebook page.

This Sunday, August 26th in LA there will be a reunion show hosted by Rey Misterio Sr. that will feature LA lucha stars from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s! Vandal Drummond is scheduled to be there as quite possibly the only gringo in attendance! Other local stars include Superboy, Piloto Suicida, Los Chivos, Al Murrieta, Gory Chavez, Piloto Nuclear, Cosmos, Capitan Oro, Principe Indu, SATAN, and many others! Show starts at 5 pm.

CMLL has several shows as usual…

They run their weekly Friday Arena Mexico show featuring the 2nd group in the Universal Tournament.

Saturday CMLL stars are in Tijuana with New Mistico’s debut in that city. Not sure if he’ll be there given that crash and burn in Puebla on Monday.

Sunday CMLL returns to Arena Coliseo for a show that will air on terra.com and 52MX.

Guadalajara has Mistico and La Mascara teaming up against Mephisto and Euforia.

DTU has two upcoming shows on Friday and Sunday. Both shows feature Dragon Gate’s Ricochet.

IWRG runs their two weekly shows at Arena Naucalpan. Thursday is headlined by a “father/son” tag team match and the semi-main event of Golden Magic vs. Chicano. The Sunday flyer only has 6 guys on it and no further info on it besides the date and time.

WPW has a show this Friday Santa Ana, CA. Main event is Frankie Segura vs. Sgt. Stryker

Promociones Contreras has a show on 8/24 featuring AAA stars. Main event is Dr. Wagner Jr. & Silver King vs. Texano Jr. & Mascara 2000 Jr. and the semi-main of El Mesias & Electroshock vs. Hijo de Perro Aguayo & Chessman.

Arena Juba has a show on 8/26 that features Skayde.

Show on 8/25 that is part of the Feria San Bartolito 2012 features AAA wrestlers.

FMLL show at Cudahy, Ca on 8/26 featuring Ultimo Guerrero and Atlantis. Looks like Piloto Suicida and Shamu Jr. won’t be making the LA reunion show!

On 9/1 at Arena Lopez Mateos it will be a farewell/retirement show for Enrique Vera. Vera will team with Mil Mascaras & Dos Caras against Canek, Villano III & Killer.

NGX returns with a September 1st show.

Llaves y Candados is gearing up for their biggest show of the year on September 2nd with the show called “Coliseomania I”. Main event is Dr. Wagner Jr. & Hector Garza vs. Silver King & Super Parka.

Mantyz Promociones runs a show on 9/2 at Arena Cuautepec. Features some of the CMLL women in a tag team match. Main event is a mask vs. hair match between Mantyz and Rey Azteca.

There is an event honoring Casandro at the Gimnasio de Arte y Cultura on September 8th. There will be a showing of some documentaries, a lucha exhibition and photo gallery.

Promociones Josaga runs a show on September 9th using AAA and DTU talent. I’m not sure if Octagon will be on that show.

There is a show in Colombia on September 15th that features a bunch of wrestlers from various places including Daga, Drew Shepperd (from NXT), Carlito, Willie Mack, B-Boy, Ricochet, Axel, and El Genio.

Herrera Promotions out of Campeche runs a show on 9/22 with AAA wrestlers. Headlined by Los Psycho Circus vs. El Consejo.
