VIDEO & RECAP: Ricochet on Tercera Caida 8/21/12
Ricochet was a guest on TVCDeportes lucha libre news show, Tercera Caida with hosts Jose Manuel Guillen & Bernardo Jose. He’s been in Mexico the past couple of days, debuting at the Lucha Libre Expo for DTU, and scheduled to wrestle on a few more shows. He talked about enjoying his time in Mexico and getting to work with such lucha indy workers like Eterno, Flamita & Drastick Boy. Joked when asked his thoughts about Eita and his chances in Dragon Gate.
He mentioned being surprised about AAA wrestlers wanting to take photos with him. He talked about his time in Chikara and they showed clips from various matches he’s been in. When he was asked if he had a favorite luchador, he said, he was a big Mascara Dorada fan. He also like La Sombra. They were talking about the ages of various wrestlers and it seemed like Ricochet was shocked that La Sombra and Mascara Dorada were so young.
He was asked what style he thought was the best among the Japanese, American or Mexican lucha style and he said he preferred the Japanese style of Dragon Gate. That question can be interpreted differently by each individual since sometimes it can be a bit vague. Dragon Gate’s roots are very deep in lucha libre through Skayde and the IWRG promotion. Ricochet did say he enjoyed his lucha training.
They also asked were he came up with the name Ricochet and whether it was inspired by the Mucha Lucha character. Fun interview.
