Show in Tepic featuring AAA stars on August 18th! Main event Drago & La Parka vs. Texano Jr. & Semental

It is a busy week for IWRG with shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday! Tonight they run their weekly Thursday show from Arena Naucalpan. Headlined by a match billed as a “lucha de dinasitas” as it pits Los Piratas vs. Cien Caras Jr./Hijo de Mascara 2000/Hijo de L.A. Park. The semi-main is a “Lucha de Maestros” match between long-time rivals Solar and Negro Navarro.

Friday IWRG headlines the Lucha Libre Expo. The full show schedule has been listed. I’m sure there will be more matches on the other cards that haven’t listed more. CMLL wrestlers are being brought in to do autograph signings. AAA runs a TV taping from the Expo on Sunday.

Finally on Sunday, IWRG returns to Arena Naucalpan for another great show.

There is a lucha show this weekend in El Paso, Texas and its being billed as El Cobarde’s final match. I’ve seen two flyers for this show, so I guess if you attend you might get to see some of the guys on there AND some might not be there. Thanks to our friend Albert for the first flyer!

There is a show on Saturday at Arena Juba en Reynosa were you can see Konan Big, Hijo de Ninja, Emma Huevo and a bunch of the other wrestlers who’ve appeared on Llaves y Candados.

Coliseo Coacalco features Negro Navarro on Sunday!

CMLL has some pretty fun shows with their Friday show headlined by the ongoing feud between Mr. Niebla and Volador Jr. Also the start of the annual Universal Tournament. La Sombra headlines in a few of the other shows in trios action. Titan is headlining TWO shows in the upcoming days. He will get tested in a singles match against Dragon Rojo Jr.  Very soon we might have to refer to Tuesdays as Titan Tuesdays as he’s headlining on that day again.

There is a special event called “This is Lucha Libre presenta: La tercera es la vencida” were they will showcase artwork and literature that was influenced by lucha libre. For more info visit This Is Lucha Libre’s facebook page.

On August 26th in LA there will be a reunion show hosted by Rey Misterio Sr. that will feature LA lucha stars from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s! Vandal Drummond is scheduled to be there as quite possibly the only gringo in attendance! Other local stars include Superboy, Piloto Suicida, Los Chivos, Al Murrieta, Gory Chavez, Piloto Nuclear, Cosmos, Capitan Oro, Principe Indu, SATAN, and many others! Show starts at 5 pm.

Llaves y Candados is gearing up for their biggest show of the year on September 2nd with the show called “Coliseomania I”. Main event is Dr. Wagner Jr. & Hector Garza vs. Silver King & Super Parka.

Promociones Josaga runs a show on September 9th using AAA and DTU talent. I’m not sure if Octagon will be on that show.
