VIDEO: Early La Sombra as El Brillante Jr.!

1

Before La Sombra was a star in CMLL, he worked independents as Brillante Jr. Here’s a match of his from January 2006 were he teamed with long-time Monterrey/Nuevo Leon local Potro Jr. and a guy who tried to get away with looking like El Santo, Silverman. Their opponents are La Bestia (accompanied by La Bella), veteran local and bad ass Charles Lucero, and local Karonte (not to be confused with Dr. Karonte).

Here’s La Sombra as Brillante Jr.

Silverman would a week or two later return to action for the Lucha Libre Azteca TV show. The TV graphic listed him as Ex-Silverman, but the announcers referred to him as Principe Dorado, then a future show he gets called Principe de Oro and thus confusion. He was a pretty talented. I believe he might be Turbina out of that area now.

Here’s La Bestia carrying a sign sharing his opinion of Mexican fans. He’s suppose to be American.
