CMLL C3 TV 7/5/08:
Sensei & Tigre Blanco vs. Artillero & Zayco: I rememberd this being really edited but I guess my memory isn’t as good as it used to be b/c the first two falls actually got plenty of time until they did a giant edit in the third fall which made the AAA edits look professional in comparison. They cut straight from the rudo beatdown to Tigre Blanco’s Falcon Arrow to win the match. At least they showed Sensei’s dive in the replays. Zayco has no offense.
Hiroka, La Nazi, Medussa vs. Goddess, Luna Mágica, Sahori: Awful. Thankfully they were only given two falls to attempt to wrestle. They couldn’t even pull off a DQ finish for excessive violence properly. This is as bad it gets in the women’s division.
Mascarita Dorada, Pequeño Olímpico, Último Dragoncito vs. Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito: Great booking to send the mini’s out AFTER the women to clean up their mess. Fantastic match as usual. Dorada was great in the first fall and did a neat dive fake where he walked on the top rope and then jumped off and posed. Pierrothito (in his classic gear) hit a plancha in the first fall and on the other side of the ring Dorada did a tope suicida into a spinning armdrag on Pequeno Warrior! But little VIOLENCE pinned Dragoncito with a Liger Bomb. Second fall went to the tecnicos after awesome dual roll-ups by Dragoncito and Dorada. Third fall was the tecnico showcase with Dorada standing out as you’d expect but Dragoncito also looked great. It all culminated with Pequeno Olimpico sending Pequeno Violencia outside and Dragoncito LAUNCHING HIMSELF with a flip plancha where he bounced off the rudito and into the second row over and onto some fans! Some stupid bitch in a white shirt got pissed that her beer was wasted and began doing something that that cameras didn’t catch as they instead showed Pequeno Warrior legdropping Olimpiquito on the floor and then taking a flying huracanrana off the top from Dorada. Dorada got back inside with Pierrothito and they had a great finishing exchange but the crowd was way too distracted with the fight at ringside. Dorada went over. Camera then cut to the dumb bitch yelling at security as her drunk b/f just laughed and the crowd chanted “fuera” (they wanted her kicked out). Thankfully security agreed and took them both away. I’m not even sure if she was fighting with Dragoncito as he was just laying on the ground confused. She may have been fighting with the old lady in the front row which really is quite classy.
Blue Panther, La Sombra, Valiente vs. Diamante Negro, Misterioso II, Virus: Panther/Virus started on the mat which: a) is awesome and b) must have been a dream come true for Virus who as far as I know has never faced Panther in Arena Mexico. Naturally they tore it up and got a huge ovation when they were done. They tagged out to Sombra and Misterioso who had another great exchange. Sombra did an INCREDIBLE assisted moonsault dive but that took him out of the picture and Virus ended up making Panther submit to win the first fall. This was looking like a sure fire MOTYC but then the second fall was worthless. The rudo beatdown went for about a minute and then I guess the idea was to have Valiente score a surprise pinfall but he botched an assisted frankensteiner spot and by the time he managed to actually roll-up Misterioso – the other two rudos looked like idiots just standing and watching the pin occur. Weak! Third fall was a bit better with Sombra and Valiente having neat exchanges with Misterioso and Virus. Sombra did his headstand rana to the floor and then Panther nailed a tope suicida. Valiente MURDERED Diamante with his new finisher and Sombra used the Octaclutch on Virus. Could have been so much better…
Marco Corleone, Shocker, Volador Jr. vs. Atlantis, Sangre Azteca, Último Guerrero: The crowd got more than their fair share of wrestling in the previous two matches so these guys had the night off and just clowned around for the most part. Azteca had a funny spot where he did his dropkick to the butt on both Corleone and Shocker. To show just how mailed in this was – Volador Jr. didn’t even get in a dive! I can’t remember the last time he had a match where he didn’t do a dive. Tecnicos went over.
A pretty fun show overall due to the latter half of the show.
