CMLL Guadalajara 5/25/08 + 6/1/08:
Black Warrior, Mr. Trueno, Toscano vs. La Sombra, Máximo, Sagrado: They might as well have just aired this in the highlights segment b/c the first two falls were JIP and combined lasted less than a minute. No joke. Sombra hurt his back on a tope suicida at the end of the second fall so he was unavailable for the third fall and they went home quickly. Toscano looks so odd without hair. Biggest pop of the match was Maximo kissing his forehead.
Atlantis & Universo 2000 vs. El Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Texano Jr.: You would think this went long since the opener got no time but it was your standard brawl for 15-20 minutes and a cheap ending.
End of the show was a long Perrito/Texanito interview. THAT EXPLAINS IT.
Misterioso II, Mr. Trueno, Rey Trueno vs. Gallo, Metal Blanco, Stuka Jr.: Started slow but got fun as it progressed. Stuka is always fun to watch and Metal Blanco is always trying. Isn’t he part of Garza’s group in CMLL or are we supposed to forget about that? The never-ending Gallo/Misterioso feud also continued here. Poor Stuka got hurt badly in the third fall when Metal Blanco assisted him into a running somersault plancha but didn’t actually assist him at all since he ended up flinging him over both Truenos and Stuka face-planted the floor. OUCH. Metal Blanco did his version of the Valiente Especial afterwards. Misterioso II went over Gallo presumably to set up a title rematch.
Alex Koslov, Heavy Metal, Shocker vs. Mephisto, Mr. Águila, Rey Bucanero: The usual stuff. What else can you say? Heavy Metal did bust out two dives which was impressive.
