2011 LuchaWorld 100 Countdown: #5. Negro Casas

5. Negro Casas – (16) – (5’8″, 185 lbs, 33 yr. pro): Continued to have consistently good matches in 2011. Part of the popular rudo faction of La Peste Negra with Mr. Niebla, Felino and Zacarias El Perico. Spent 2011 feuding with Blue Panther. Feud included one of the better matches of 2011 as they faced off in a singles match on April 24th. The two kept facing off in trios matches. Mentored the Alpha Group in the Forjando Un Idolo tournament. Made a few appearances in the A&E reality series, “El Luchador”. Most notably when Felino was showing Casas and Mr. Niebla some gear he thought would look great. The Casas and Blue Panther feud heated up late in 2011 and it looked like they were set to face off in a big singles match at the big year-end show for CMLL called “Sin Piedad”. At the press conference were Casas and Blue Panther were set to sign contracts for a hair match, Felino begged his brother, Negro Casas, to let him have this opportunity to take on Blue Panther in the hair match. Casas initially resisted, but decided to agree and let Felino have the singles match. Casas cost Felino the match when he interfered to stop him from using the “martinete” (piledriver) on Blue Panther. Referee saw the interference and called for a DQ on Felino. The Blue Panther – Negro Casas feud continued…
