2011 LuchaWorld 100 Countdown: #10. El Mesias

10. El Mesias – (4) – (6’0″, 240 lbs, 14 yr. pro): One of AAA’s top tecnicos since turning a few years ago and apologizing to the Mexican fans for past transgressions against their favorite heroes. Continued his ongoing feud with La Sociedad and in particular with L.A. Park. The two continued to have some of the best brawls in wrestling whenever they met, be it a singles match or matches involving others. It didn’t matter, these two went at after each other. At the 2011 Rey de Reyes show, El Mesias and L.A. Park brawled on the outside and were eliminated via countout. El Mesias challenged and lost to L.A. Park in a hair vs. mask match at Triplemania. El Mesias feud with La Sociedad would eventually lead to him saving another former rival, Dr. Wagner Jr. from an attack by La Sociedad at Verano de Escandalo. As part of the AAA-TNA working agreement, Sting made his first appearance in Mexico and El Mesias was chosen to be his opponent at the October 9th Heroes Inmortales show. Their match ended in a no-contest (draw) when La Sociedad members got involved. Jarrett started telling Sting to finish off Mesias, but Sting refused and helped El Mesias instead. Jeff Jarrett then announced that he had placed a bounty on El Mesias. TNA wrestlers AJ Styles and Rob Terry came in to collect on the bounty at the December 16th Guerra de Titanes show, but El Mesias beat both of them.
