CMLL FSE 6/15/08:
Felino/Leono/Super Nova vs Arkangel/Diamante Negro Jr./Virus: Super Nova has so much potential. I wonder if the extended stay in Spain will make him better or just teach him how to be a lazy flyer. I wouldn’t be shocked if he returned to CMLL with a new gimmick and a superpush. He did some nice stuff with Arkangel and Diamante in this one. Match only went two falls which is okay b/c the less Leono the better and ended with Virus low blowing Felino. Action kept moving so it was a fine effort.
Grey Shadow/La Mascara/Sagrado vs Efesto/Olimpico/Sangre Azteca: By the numbers. Finish was screwed up as Shadow kept running the ropes on the wrong side of the ring and finally Olimpico rolled up Sagrado in the most anti-climactic finish ever.
CMLL FSE 6/22/08:
Axxel/Mictlan/Stuka Jr. vs Caifan Rockero I/Ohara/Okumura: This was pretty damn awesome at times and pretty shitty at other times. Shockingly it was only shitty when Axxel was in the ring as he blew a ton of stuff although also busted out a neat fake-out dive where he somersault over the ropes and then did a 360 armdrag dive to the floor! Mictlan may have looked the best I’ve ever seen him here and his first fall finisher was actually… cool! It was like a fireman’s carry where he spun Ohara the opposite way and then locked on a submission. Stuka Jr. looked good in the second fall as did Mictlan once again. WTF? The rudos eventually took over and nothing of note occured. Axxel did a tope suicida in the third fall and Mictlan did his usual running somersault plancha. Another very anti-climactic finish with Stuka using his torpedo splash (stolen from Cubs) for the win. Caifan didn’t show much here.
Felino/La Sombra/Negro Casas vs Damian 666/Misterioso II/Mr. Aguila: La Sombra and Aguila looked great here and everyone else was mailing it in. Sombra did an awesome assisted moonsault dive in the third fall. They traded low blows at the end with Negro not getting caught and thus getting the win.
