2011 LuchaWorld 100 Countdown: #13. Atlantis

13. Atlantis – (42) – (5’8″, 202 lbs, 28 yr. pro): Wrestled on the New Japan/CMLL Fantasticmania shows in Japan in January. Lost to Giant Bernard and Karl Anderson in an IWGP World Tag Team Title matchup teaming with Okumura. Teamed with Mascara Dorada to win the National Parejas tournament on February 25th, 2011. On March 26th, teamed with Ultimo Guerrero to win the UWE Tag Team Titles after defeating Hector Garza and Olimpico in the tournament finals. During the summer as the Forjando Un Idolo tournament entered its next phase, Atlantis replaced Shocker as the trios partner for Guerrero Maya Jr. and Delta. This didn’t sit well with Ultimo Guerrero and tensions built up until they eventually split up, ending a long-running partnership. Atlantis formed a new trio with Guerrero Maya Jr. and Delta called “Los Reyes de la Atlantida” and they immediately started feuding with Los Guerreros Del Infierno/Atlantida (Ultimo Guerrero, Dragon Rojo Jr. & Rey Escorpion). Atlantis teamed with Guerrero Maya Jr. to challenge for the CMLL World Tag Team titles held by Ultimo Guerrero and Dragon Rojo Jr. The trio was soon challenged by Shocker and his new faction consisting of Metro, Titan and Triton, but that group lasted less time than the press conference they were introduced at. Los Reyes del Atlantida turned their attention towards the Mexican National Trios titles held by Los Invasores (Volador Jr., Olimpico & Psicosis II). At the 12/16 Sin Piedad show, Los Reyes del Atlantida won the Mexican National Trios titles from Los Invasores.
