2011 LuchaWorld 100 Countdown: #15. Black Terry

15. Black Terry – (7) – (5’6″, 178 lbs, 36 yr. pro): Another great year out of Black Terry. Not as strong as his 2010 were he was a central figure in a pretty great program in IWRG against Los Gringos VIP. One of the best brawlers in pro wrestling, who can also still take it to the mat and give fans a traditional lucha match. Had a feud with AAA maestros Gran Apache and Angel Mortal which led to Black Terry teaming with rival Negro Navarro in their feud. Lost a hair match to Angel Mortal on January 23rd in Naucalpan. Had a lot of matches with other veterans throughout the year. He continued to team with Navarro against other veteran teams as well as Navarro’s two sons, Los Traumas. He was still part of the Terrible Cerebros with Dr. Cerebro and Cerebro Negro. Later in the year, Black Terry introduced a new faction called “Los Nuevos Temerarios” in IWRG, but the young guys didn’t really seem to gain any traction with fans and by late 2011 the group was kind of phased out. Continues to be one of the more popular luchadores among die-hard lucha fans.
