CMLL Guadalajara 4/15/08, 4/27/08 & 5/4/08:
Malefico/Toxico vs. Gallo/Leon Blanco: Why they would take the two most awful local GDL guys and pair them up against two of the blandest rudos around is beyond me. Could we not have just had an atomicos matches with the guys from the fourth match tossed in? Entirely forgettable match.
Lizmark Jr./Último Guerrero vs. Héctor Garza/Marco Corleone: Much like the above… entirely forgettable. Lots of comedy. Garza set up for his second rope inside the ring moonsault to the floor dive but must have realized he could get by without taking a risk like that so he moved himself to the outside of the ring and just did a moonsault off the second turnbuckle. Lizmark Jr. low blowed Corleone for the win.
Metal Blanco/Metalik vs. Loco Max/Vaquero (Highlights): Nice dives from the tecnicos and Vaquero low blowed Metal Blanco to set up their mask/hair match.
Casanova/Leon Blanco/Máximo vs. Malefico/Máscara Mágica/Toxico: Casanova is so annoying. A skinny green wrestler who doesn’t fly and does a “sexy” gimmick. So he’s worthless. Bad match.
Averno/Mephisto vs. Alex Koslov/Místico: Bad sign right from the start as Mistico came out limping badly so you knew the match wouldn’t be much. Rudos just pounded on him and took the first fall easily. Second fall had the quick comeback and pins from the tecnicos. Third fall had Mistico do half of what he normally does and extra slowly to protect his knee. Koslov had his usual exchange too. Mistico did a weak tope suicida while Koslov almost flew over Mephisto with a wild running somersault plancha! Tecs got the double submission win.
Mini Universo 2000/Pierrothito vs. Atomo/Shockercito (highlights): Nothing special was shown.
Jeque/Malefico/Toxico vs. Casanova/Metal Blanco/Metalik: And thus ends Metalik’s rapid fall from grace on my favorite wrestlers list.:( How in the hell does he only bust out a PLANCHA in this match. Ugh. The in-ring stuff wasn’t too hot either. Metalik may be joining the James Newblood and Brian XL list soon enough. Metal Blanco actually looked the best here and did some cool stuff. In the third fall Casanova did a running somersault plancha as Metal Blanco did the Valiente Especial I! Jeque low blowed Metalik to set up their mask vs hair match.
Villano III/Villano IV/Villano V vs. Dos Caras Jr./Negro Casas/Rayman: Worked as a straight tecnicos vs tecnicos match early on so it was decent but it eventually broke down with V-III and Negro feuding. V-III used a low blow to win which set up a singles match between them the following week which I pray doesn’t see the light of day…
