CMLL Guadalajara 3/23/08 & 3/30/08

CMLL Guadalajara 3/23/08 + 3/30/08:

Malefico/Nitro/Toxico vs. Angel Azteca Jr./El Gallo/Leon Blanco: Very disapointing. I was hoping this would be the Angel Azteca Jr. show since it was his first Guadalajara appearence but he did nothing except the old Aguila headscissors while pulling yourself through the ropes to the floor. The match was basically just a long squash for the rudos who are very unimpressive themselves so this was not a match they were gonna pull off.

Dos Caras Jr./Sagrado/La Sombra vs. Atlantis/Euforia/Sangre Azteca: They aired everyone standing the ring to honor Bestia Salvaje’s memory before the match. I figured that meant this would be a 100% technical match in his honor but no such luck. Usual match you’d expect with this crew. Sombra was the only one who stood out (naturally). He connected with an INSANE ringpost moonsault in the second fall! In the third fall he and Euforia tore down the house with a great exchange. Sagrado connected with a bullet tope on Atlantis (looked to be hurt) near the end of the match and Dos Jr./Sombra used their respective finishers on Sangre/Euforia to get the win for the tecnicos.

Metal Blanco/Metalik vs. Depredador/Vaquero (highlights): Sucks watching Metalik on slo-mo highlights only.:( Basically just the finish to each fall with Metalik using a great springboard somersault plancha.

Mascarita Dorada/Tzuki vs. Pequeño Damian 666/Pierrothito: Already reviewed this. AWESOME MATCH! Must-see. End of story. Actually it was funny hearing the announcers accidentally say “Tzukicito”. Imagine if Tzuki had a mini!!!

Averno/Mephisto/El Terrible vs. Grey Shadow/Marco Corleone/Sagrado: *yawn* Lots of comedy that was only semi-funny and way too much Rocky Romero doing spots at half-speed. Only highlight was a dual running somersault plancha spot from Shadow/Sagrado where they almost landed on each other coming down. It takes two spectacular wrestlers to pull that off!:) Rudos cheated to win. Corleone was very unhappy. Not mad enough to stop the hip-swiveling though…

Metal Blanco/Metalik vs. Depredador/Vaquero (highlights): Metalik used a nice roll-up to win the second fall and both tecnicos used run-up-the-ropes moonsault planchas in the third fall. Vaquero low blowed Metal Blanco for the DQ.

You’re insane if you don’t watch to see the mini’s tag from this set of shows.
