2011 LuchaWorld 100 Countdown: #37. El Terrible

37. El Terrible – (53) – (6’1″, 231 lbs, 14 yr. pro): Teamed with Texano Jr. for much of 2011. The duo feuded with Maximo and Super Porky early in the year and it led to the two teams headlining the Dos Leyendas show on March 18th at Arena Mexico in a hair match. Terrible and Texano Jr. won the hair match. They soon formed a trio with Rey Bucanero called Fuerza TRT. They sided with Rey Bucanero in his feud with Felino, which led to a rudos vs. rudos match against La Peste Negra in September leading up to the Anniversary show. Terrible was part of the cage match main event at the 9/30 Anniversary show. Challenged Rush for the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Title in mid-November. El Terrible changed his body quite a bit late in the year as he lost weight and got a more toned down build that allowed him to be in the CMLL bodybuilding competition in November. His long-time tag partner, El Texano was also in that competition, but rumors were swirling before and after that he was leaving CMLL. He eventually did the next day after wrestling a CMLL show at Arena Mexico. El Terrible stayed with CMLL due to loyalty (HA! Take that Dwight Howard!) and soon he and Rey Bucanero would add Tiger to be part of Fuerza TRT. The newer version of that trio seemed to provide Terrible with a little more of a leadership role as the previous version it felt like all three guys being veterans all came off as having equal footing on the team. El Terrible finished off the year as a top contender to the CMLL World Heavyweight Title, which was vacated after Hector Garza had left the promotion. Also started a feud with Rush late in the year.
