CMLL TV 4/26/08:

Blue Panther/La Máscara/Marco Corleone vs. Black Warrior/Olímpico/Universo 2000: Entertaining match for the most part. La Mascara was the only one who brought it down. I probably wouldn’t make a habbit of watching this around friends though as Corleone was doing his hip-swevel deal seemingly all match long.:/ Warrior had funny reactions though. Great first fall finish with Universo avoiding Corleone’s flying clothesline and using an STF while Olimpico used a neat cradle on Panther. Warrior MURDERIZED Panther with a bullet tope in the second fall. When’s the last time he’s done THAT? Third fall was pretty fun and had an Olimpico running somersault plancha onto La Mascara and Universo using a plancha on Corleone and then posing as he lay on him. Panther made Warrior submit to win.

Heavy Metal/Negro Casas/Shocker vs. Atlantis/Toscano/Último Guerrero: Barely a 7 minute match but at least it had a bunch of action. Metal laid into Toscano and booted him out of the ring, then hit a running somersault plancha. Toscano got revenge in the second fall by making Metal take a sallida and then connecting with a springboard plancha. Finish was a DQ after a low blow on Metal. Somehow Toscano split his lip open which made for a cool post-match visual as they threw out hair match challenges.

Momentos was repeats.

Héctor Garza/LA Park/Místico vs. Averno/Mephisto/Terrible: Excellent match! The first two falls were largely what you’d expect but they went nuts in the third fall and were given plenty of time to work a solid match with tons of dives and neat spots. Parka really stepped up his game in particular and I thought Terrible was awesome (I’ve always thought he’s underrated). Finish was Mistico/Garza going over Averno/Mephisto clean to build to their tag team title rematch. Of note – before the match there was a skit where Averno/Mephisto had a meeting with Fantasma over the vacant belts. Shockingly Fantasma did NOT award both belts to his kid!:o

2 for 3, can’t go wrong with that. Pick this one up.
