CMLL/RECORD 5/14/08 @ Arena Mexico:
Mascarita Dorada/Pequeño Olímpico/Tzuki vs. Mr. Aguilita/Pequeño Damian 666/Pequeño Halloween: Only a minute or two from each fall aired but what was shown was SPECTACULAR as you can imagine. Tzuki and Dorada were on fire and the crowd was in love with everything they did. INSANE DIVES in the third fall. Pequeno Damian yanked Dorada’s mask and pinned him in the third fall. Might have been a MOTYC if shown in full.
Axxel/Máximo/Sagrado vs. Euforia/Misterioso II/Nosferatu: Another heavily edited match but what was shown was really fun. Axxel impressed once again. Beyond his moves though, he’s quite plain in the charisma department which is not good since his flying isn’t overly spectacular. He really better never lose the rights to that outfit.:) Maximo was in full comedy mode and the crowd seemed to love him. I forget who won but I think the tecnicos.
Blue Panther/Héctor Garza/Volador Jr. vs. Damián 666/el Hijo del Perro Aguayo/Mr. Águila: No wonder this match won the big prize of the night – they did all their dives into the laps of the judges at ringside! There were a ton of dives too. Never in my life did I ever think I’d see the day where Panther would be part of the tag team plancha spot that Volador Jr./Mistico invented in 2004. Perrito got DQ’ed so his team lost the match but won the big prize b/c WRESTLING IS A WORK!
Marco Corleone/Místico/Shocker vs. Atlantis/Black Warrior/Último Guerrero: Heavily edited so all the action aired and it was pretty fun. Corleone ate Warrior’s tope of death which as he degenerates is becoming more like the tope of used to be death. Warrior really looks like he’s taking the Lizmark Jr. path of not giving a shit about the wrestling business any more. In the third fall Shocker slipped on his second rope plancha but the rudos caught him anyways. Corleone followed with his Superman Dive over the top and ate the ground as he fell through everyone but he was alright. Mistico and Ultimo had a nice finishing sequence ending with La Mistica of course.
A nice little bonus for CMLL fans. Worth checking out.
