2011 LuchaWorld 100 Countdown: #50. Freelance
50. Freelance – (38) – (5’1″, 125 lbs, 10 yr. pro): One of the top independent luchadores in Mexico. After spending most his time in the IWRG promotion in previous years, he spread his wings in 2011 and wrestled in several other independent groups along with IWRG. Wrestled in Arena Neza as the Neza Kid were he had a mask vs. hair match against Mike Segura in May. Wrestled in a match on the pre-show to Triplemania teaming with Daga against Eterno & Mike Segura. In IWRG continued to feud with Avisman which eventually led to a hair match between the two. Freelance won the hair match. Soon after that match in June, Freelance spent the second half of the year wrestling outside of Naucalpan. Wrestled for the IWL promotion and was part of a fun trios match on the 7/31 iPPV card. Won IWL’s version of Reyes del Aire in October.
