2011 LuchaWorld 100 Countdown: #80. Mr. Aguila

80. Mr. Aguila – (71) – (5’10″, 200 lbs, 18 yr. pro): Part of Los Invasores in CMLL. Was kind of the 2nd in charge behind Garza with Psicosis II slightly behind. When Garza left and Volador Jr. became a regular in the group it seemed Mr. Aguila slipped down to about 3rd or 4th behind Olimpico. Still one of the better high-flyers. Was in several matches were he challenged for titles including a tag title match in Guadalajara teaming with Psicosis II and challenging Rush for the CMLL Light Heavyweight Title. He was unsuccessful in both matches. He wrestled on a few of those shows in Tamaulipas that featured guys like Colt Cabana, Carlito and Chavo Guerrero Jr. When some CMLL wrestlers left during the year (primarily when Garza and Texano Jr. left), his name was always at the top of fan’s list of guys who might leave, but he stayed in the promotion. Started painting half his face to look like the Venom character.
