Arena Coliseo De Monterrey 11/5/06, 10/29/06 & 12/2/07:
Women’s Match (11/5/06): I… have… no idea. Just two women fighting at some club in Monterrey that I’ve only seen one time before – on a match that Chui uploaded which featured Konnan Big’s crew doing their usual shtick. This seemed more like one of those matches taped for the pervs as there were lots of hair pulling, choking and sitting in weird positions for a while while pretending to have a submission applied. While FF’ing through I wondered if these girls were actually real wrestlers or just pretty girls hired to do this b/c lots of the simple stuff like bodyslams and suplexes looked quite rough. On the bright side this should sell well for Fredo now that everyone knows it was one of those perv matches since those are big sellers from my experience.
La Calaca & Simply Luscious vs. American Angel & Sky (10/29/06): Oh god… more women? I just focused on the Sky/Calaca stuff which actually really wasn’t too good. Skippable match.
Anibal el Vampiro, Chamaco Becerra, Dark Father vs 5X, Apostol, Tigre Universitario (10/29/06): One of those weird Tuesday main events but for some reason there was no hot chick in the ring to distract everyone so the crowd wasn’t as into the match as they usually are. There were some wild dives including 5X doing a plancha onto Dark Father who blew the catch and it looked like 5X crippled himself but he got up to do the finish. I forget who won.
Fabi Apache & Mascarita Sagrada vs. Ayako Hamada & Mini Abismo Negro (12/2/07): Wow – a fun match! This new Mascarita just isn’t winning me over though. As I said before – he’s just a clone of Dorada and isn’t trying to differentiate himself in any way. He has very little charisma and just seems to want to go from spot to spot with Mini Abismo doing all the work. He also has tons of problems using the ropes and ALWAYS trips while trying to climb up top. Even his flying headscissors to the floor spot looks bad b/c he just jumps off like for a regular plancha and Mini Abismo has to catch him properly and then spin to make it look good. I dunno… I hope he improves. While writing this I watched him on today’s AAA TV and he was still the same. Fabi/Ayako worked hard which was nice to see. Tecnicos took it easily.
Decnnis & Super Calo vs. Antifaz del Norte & EspĂritu (12/2/07): Pretty boring although I did find it amusing to see a Guapo teaming with his arch rival against a Viper and their arch rival. Of course none of that was mentioned during the match and they worked it normally as if everyone was buddies with each other. No dives or any big spots. Totally generic match. I got sleepy at the end and forget who won.
Zorro vs. Alan Stone vs. Kenzo Suzuki [bull terrier] (12/2/07): I was still sleepy through this and can’t remember much except Zorro hitting everyone with his cane and cheating to win.
