2011 LuchaWorld 100 Countdown: #100. Billy El Malo
The 2011 edition of the LuchaWorld 100 is finally going to be posted. This past year there was way more footage available to watch and I expect the same will happen for this year as well. Again for those unfamiliar with how I rank everyone, here’s the rundown…
The list is all my opinion on how everyone did in 2011. Its not just a workrate oriented listing, which I’m sure you’ll notice with some of the names listed. It has more to do with what I look for when watching lucha libre (workrate, charisma, mic skills, fan reaction, and opportunity). Each and every one of the luchadores/luchadoras made this list based on at least one quality I look for. So what better day to start posting this list than Cinco de Mayo! I’ll be posting 5 luchadores at a time since it takes awhile to find the time to do this…
100. Billy El Malo – (60) – (5’6”, 163 lbs, 14 yr. pro): Started the year as part of La Milicia and the larger rudo group known as La Sociedad. He was revealed to be the mole in the group and joined Cibernetico’s Bizarros on March 13, 2011. The group mainly did Cibernetico’s bidding against La Parka for most of the year. They also did a lot of losing to the Psycho Circus whenever the clowns didn’t face Los Perros Del Mal on AAA shows. Billy El Malo and Escoria were basically the two carrying the wrestling end of things for Los Bizarros somewhere between Charly Manson going to jail and the Cibernetico-La Parka feud fading into the background. Teamed with Escoria to challenge Jack Evans and Extreme Tiger for the AAA World Tag Team Titles in September. Ever since the end of the Apache family feud, Billy El Malo (or as he was known in the past, Billy Boy) has been mostly just used to fill a faction.
