AAA 2/15/08 in Queretaro:

Estrellita/Fabi Apache/Sexy Star vs. Ayako Hamada/La Diabólica/Mari Apache: Usual solid match with the ladies. Estrellita was wearing quite the revealing top. As a guy I can’t quite understand how everything manages to stay in place when she wrestles in outfits like those. Gran Apache was at ringside and tried to interfere in the finish but got a chair kicked into his face by Fabi who then pinned Mari clean with a dragon suplex. Fabi finally proved she can do something on her own! She must have been thrilled! Then like a good man waiting to pounce on a vulnerable woman – Billy Boy came out with a mariachi band and presented flowers to Fabi who… once again… had just proved her point and should have been on top of the world… but she threw the flowers in Billy’s face because women are bitches.:)

There was a Fuerza Aerea vs Secta match that didn’t air in this spot because… it would have been too entertaining.

Killer Clown/Psycho Clown/Zombie Clown vs. Alebrije/Mascara Divina/Pimpinela Escarlata: Really boring squash aside from the Cuije spots. The Clowns tossed him around and then stuffed him in their bag where he stayed until the match was over. An Alebrije/Divina/Elegido feud with the Clowns is something I’d have booked around this time to extend their winning streak a bit without running out of teams to face as is the case of what happened.

Abismo Negro vs. Mr. Niebla [bull terrier]: You know I never put two and two together until this match as to why Hijo Del Tirantes kept trying to help Niebla in these matches. I guess I’m the typical AAA fan who just takes things on a match-to-match basis. The crowd, even with the pre-match promo, had absolutely no idea why Tirantes Jr. was trying to cost Abismo the match… they just figured he was going rudo. Bloody brawl as you’d expect. Abismo kept almost winning only for Tirantes Jr. to stop him somehow. Finally Niebla grabbed him but Niebla interfered only to get hit with a chair allowing Abismo to win. What I don’t get is Abismo touched all five corners, then took another 45 seconds to do the finishing spot and touch the sixth. Shouldn’t he have had to start all over? And if the ref is in charge of the match and hates Abismo, why wouldn’t he just rule Abismo didn’t touch the corners? Sometime it’s good to make sense.

Electro Shock/Kenzo Suzuki/Zorro vs. Brazo de Plata/Gronda II/Intocable: Oh my god. How did the segunda not air but this got almost 20 minutes? Absolutely horrible. Best part was easily Zorro beating all three tecnicos by himself and then being picked up on Electro’s shoulders as a fan nailed Kenzo in the head with some flying object, hehehehe.

Decnnis/Scorpio Jr. vs. Charly Manson/Chessman vs. Laredo Kid/Octagón vs. Extreme Tiger/Halloween – Cage: I don’t even know how to explain this one. I guess the first team out got tickets to the Rey De Reyes but the match was so quick that there was no drama at all. Laredo Kid just climbed out within a few minutes and the crowd cheered like crazy even though they had no idea why it was good that he escaped. A minute or so later both Guapos climbed out with barely anyone trying to stop them so they got in the Rey De Reyes. Match over, right? Wrong. Everyone kept fighting for some reason and didn’t seem to care they just lost their chance to get in the Rey De Reyes. It came down to HB vs Familia. Tiger escaped and then Manson escaped. Chessman/Halloween did moves on each other (which was hard to watch since the lights in the arena kept going on and off for some unknown reason). Tiger did a plancha off the top of the cage onto Manson and Decnis on the floor while Scorpio Jr. stood-by supervising.:) Nice spot. I guess that spot was the only purpose of this match. Oh… and Chessman did a flying legdrop off the top of the cage to put Halloween through a table after Cibernetico did a run-in.

Not the strongest show at all but had a few entertaining moments. A definite failure when it comes to logic though.
